On the 5th of July, the Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education, H. Em. Giuseppe Versaldi, and the Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, have signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The document is the premise and platform of an ever more fraternal collaboration in the educational field. It stems from a fundamental belief: if you want to change the world, you have to change education.
On February 4, 2019, on the occasion of the apostolic visit to the United Arab Emirates, His Holiness Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, signed the "Document on Human Brotherhood for World Peace and Common Coexistence". In the wake of this Document, convinced of the need for its full implementation in the field of education, the departments responsible for the matter started a dialogue.
